Growing & Maintenance:

In spring, apply balanced fertilizer for trees according to package directions. Prune early spring to remove crossing branches. Check soil weekly for moisture. Water thoroughly when dry. Provide adequate water until tree is dormant for the winter. Possible winter protection required as rabbits may eat bark at snow line in winter. After ground has frozen, place 4" mulch around base of tree for frost protection. Self-pollinating, but planting more than one variety results in a better crop.
