Growing & Maintenance:

In spring, apply balanced fertilizer for acid-loving plants according to package directions. Check soil weekly for moisture. Water thoroughly when dry. Adequate water until ground freezes is necessary to sustain plant during winter. Prune to shape after blooming. Do not prune in fall, this will affect blooms. Apply 2-3" mulch to protect shallow roots during heat of summer. In northern climates, 4-6" of mulch is necessary to protect roots in winter.
