Growing & Maintenance:
Self-pollinating; planting more than one will result in better crop. In spring, apply balanced fertilizer for trees according to package directions. Early spring remove branches growing upright above leader and any crossing branches. Check soil weekly for moisture; water thoroughly when dry. Provide adequate water until tree is dormant for the winter. Place 4" mulch around base of tree to protect roots in winter. Possible winter protection required as rabbits may eat bark at snow line in winter. Requires 600-800 chill hours.
