Growing & Maintenance:

In spring, apply balanced fertilizer for acid-loving plants according to package directions. Check soil weekly for moisture. Water thoroughly when dry. Adequate water until the ground freezes is necessary to sustain plant during the winter. Remove spent flowers to keep plant tidy. Branches can be pruned to shape in summer if necessary. Apply mulch 2-3" deep around plant to protect roots during winter. In north, protect with burlap the first winter until plant's roots are well-established.
